I have been so pleased with this product. It took about 30 minutes to unbox and get the hose in the window.
The unit puts out ice cold air that cools down my bedroom easily (approx 12x12) and within minutes. I often get a little too chilly and have to turn it off, but within moments it is again too hot and it literally only takes this unit moments to cool it back down to a reasonable, if not chilly, level. We bought 2 one for the bedroom and upstairs of our townhome and one for in the living room/ downstairs area .
We didn't have A/C in our townhome for the last 4 years. Last year we bought these 2 units BRAND new from Home Depot. Of course after we finally broke down and got these two awesome units.. our landlord decided that yes indeed we all need A/C or people just aren't gonna rent out his townhomes. Our two portable air conditioners were installed last summer and used only a couple months. They are like brand new. We have no need for them, now that we have our central air conditioner unit installed.
You would be purchasing one or both of which are LIKE BRAND NEW> considering we didn't even use them the entire summer.. here in NY ... only needed them for about 3 weeks of the season.. when it was just too unbearably warm to go without running them. These two 9,000 BTU units cooled off our entire townhome of 1100 sq. ft.
